Even though, fear management is a huge segment of Pediatric Dentistry, there are few instances where children’s fear dominates all modes of fear transformations.
There are children who have had unpleasant previous dental experiences or are extremely apprehensive by nature. As well, there are children whose underlying medical conditions don does not allow them to seek dental treatment in the chair.
In all such scenarios, general anesthesia is the suggested treatment approach.
Our practice is well connected with the hospitals wherein, dental treatment can be done under general anesthesia with the complete support and surveillance of anesthetists and their team.
The procedure requires pre anesthetic checkup, a day stay at the hospital so that child can receive complete pre and post care after the dental procedure. There is no need to stay overnight as children are allowed to go home after two to three hours post dental treatment.
The procedure is safe and is the modality of choice with very young children needing comprehensive dental treatments.
